Drawing for Painters Class
January–May 2026
Using various drawing methods, we recorded our visual world in pencil, pen, marker, charcoal, and watercolor.
We created the luscious curves with contour drawing. We drew with straight lines, found edges, and carved corners of bounding boxes. We measured and interpreted to work with proportions. We described bird nests and eggs in pencil, pen, and color. Perceived perspective was a challenging bit of fun and charcoal was lovely, valued, and messy.
Then there were potluck lunches. Sumptuous feasts of soup, salad, bread, cheese, and dessert. Always dessert.
