a big fear addressed
I was invited to paint for a day with the Putney Painters —to paint a portrait. Filled with fear of doing something I'd never tried before and of the prospect of doing it among amazing painters, I was tempted to decline. But then the fog lifted. Why not start portrait painting among kind, experienced painters? How many opportunities like this might ever come my way again? The support kept me going. The light, the model, the whole day was wonderful. There is still so much for me to learn I'd but taken the first step. An unforgetable start.
