AQUABORD WORKSHOP
NEW DATE: TUESDAY, JUNE 30
If you're interested, please let me know and I'll keep you in the loop.
10:00 to 4:00
at my house, 14 Village Road, Surry, NH, just north of Keene
$135 includes a few pieces of Aquabord and other supplies as well as nibbles, drinks, and a simple lunch.
COME EXPLORE Let's gather to explore the unique characteristics and benefits of this versatile watercolor painting surface. The textured clay surface of AQUABORD by Ampersand is a delight to work on. It provides a forgiving and versatile painting experience with excellent color control.
WHY AQUABORD? Colors appear more luminous and vibrant. Transparent layers glow, brush strokes retain their boldness or subtlety. Washes move beautifully over the flat, rigid surface. Mistakes and highlights are easily lifted out.
SEALING Finished Aquabord paintings can be sealed and framed without the glare and weight of glass, enhancing the visual impact of your work. We’ll seal our finished work and discuss framing options.
SHARING We'll wrap up the day with time to share our work and our discoveries. This expands the experience for everyone as we share our different processes.
BRING Bring your own watercolor paints (especially transparent colors), brushes, water containers, etc. And a subject to paint. I will have an assortment of still life objects and (hopefully) some garden flowers for you to paint if you choose.
PROVIDED Aquabord panels and sealing goop will be supplied for each painter. Tea, morning nibbles, and a simple lunch will be provided.
